Rick Artis
After an initial reluctance to finding a place on the stage in high school, Rick has since spent untold hours in the pursuit of the dramatic dream. Despite the joyous onstage exploits, many interveinng years were empty of acting endevours. Instead of memorizing lines and learning blocking, he inhabited the pit for a variety of musicals or haunted various backstages with a toolbelt or paintbrush.
In 2005, he and his family moved to south central Colorado and a new chapter began to be written. He joined a local comunnity theatre group as an actor and then a board member. Within a few years he was instumental in the development of the Springs Theatre Company, which provides family-freindly entertianment in a dinner theater atmophere. He directed the first production and has gone on to produce, direct, act, and/or write several of the subsequent shows, often filling several roles at a time. He currently serves as the Board President.
